Buying In Spain

To buy a property you need an NIE number and bank account which we will be happy to help you with. To secure a property you would normally pay a deposit of 10% but maybe 20 % with some of the cheaper properties listed. This can secure the property for usually 90 days but anytime within that time period you can buy in a local notary. There are three charges when buying a property, the tax, the property register and notary fee.  The notary are not only there to sign the property from the old owner to the buyer but are there to help with any questions you have and to make sure you know exactly what you are buying. We usually use a notary in Mora la Nova who are pleased to answer any questions for buyers.
